A Day in the Life takes you into the everyday of local creatives and business owners as they show you the best of their city.

Meet Mathilde Lehmann founder of Seem Soap, a natural, handmade soap brand from Paris inspired by precious stones. Follow along as she guides us through a day in Paris.

Seem Soap Backstory.

“Seem Soap designs and produces soaps inspired by nature and precious stones, to create a new sensorial experience. Our mission is to bring art and beauty to daily life. We wanted to work on an every day object that is very standard in terms of shape and ergonomics. We realized that bar soaps were mostly in rectangle or circle shapes. Our mission was to reinvent the product by breaking the standards and making soap not only functional, but a design and decorative object. We started to make some moulds tests and quickly realized all the possibilities we could explore, with a myriad of shapes and colours. That is when we decided to create the brand, solidify the idea and brought Seem Soap to life.”⁣⁣

What’s Next.

“For now we are still focused on soap, because there are many areas to explore. We love making collaborations with other designers, or with brands. The past two years we worked with the french artist Garance Vallée and the dutch designer Lex Pott, and made two collections that we really love. Also, we are now designing a new collection that will be ready within the next few months.”
